The Czech Republic has recently commemorated the 10th anniversary of being a NATO member state. The Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with Ministry of Defense and Senate have organized an international conference on this event, called “NATO enlargement ten years on: achievement, challenges, prospects”, which took place in Prague, March 12 - 13, 2009.

Jagello 2000 has participated as one of the organizers of the conference. The two days event presented opinions and speeches of many distinguished guests: Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, Václav Havel, Madeleine Albright, gen. John Craddock and so forth.
Have a look at the detail program here.

At the occasion of this event we supported the participation of two representatives from Serbian institutions, namely: Colonel dr. Katarina Štrbac, Head of Division, Institute for Strategic Research, Ministry of Defense and Mr. Milan Milanović, Head of the PfP Division from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia. We also supported the participation of Sonja Stojanović – director of the Centre for Civil-Military Relations, our main partner in Serbia. Part of their stay in Prague was an informal dinner with the Director of Security Policy Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Veronika Kuchyňová-Šmigolová.
