Study programme for Serbian university students
We have organized already fourth round of programme for university students from Serbia - "International security and NATO". It was held in Prague in the period from November 17 until 24, 2007.
Altogether we received 118 applications, out of which we chose 20 best students. We are happy to announce that we hosted participants from different cities of Serbia (Belgrade, Niš, Novi Sad, Kragujevac etc.), from different universities and faculties.
The aim of this project was to provide students with an orientation into recent developments in NATO concerning the relationship between NATO and the EU, and an insight into the Czech experience with NATO and EU membership. Students had exclusive opportunity to meet high ranking political practitioners as well as leading academics and to hear their opinions as well as to discuss some interesting issues.

The programme was supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, and introduced in cooperation with International Institute of Political Science of Masaryk University in Brno (www.iips.cz) and the Prague Security Studies Institute (www.pssi.cz).
And how did the students like the programme? Here are some of their opinions.
„The seminar was a great opportunity to meet very important people and to hear their views. We also had open debates on current issues.”
„It was an honour to listen to all of the lecturers. New arguments as well as useful opinions were brought up, which I will certainly pass on to my friends and colleagues at home.”
„Thank you for this great opportunity to listen and share views with the highest experts from your country. I have actually learnt and written down so much, and these great lectures opened my sight for many new issues and topics.”
We invite all those who were not successful to apply for the fifth study programme, which will be held in May 2008.
